Welcome to the 2024 Mosaic – A Festival of Cultures! Thank you for taking part in this exciting community celebration.

This year’s theme, Celebrating Traditions and Heritage of All People, is a valuable message. I know how important it is for Donna and me to be connected to our heritage. This is true for everyone, including First Nations and Métis people, new Canadians and descendants of immigrants. Our identity and self-confidence are impacted by our connection to our own heritage, and our province is stronger when we create understanding by sharing our heritage.

I am grateful to the Regina Multicultural Council and the eighteen pavilion hosts for creating this fun event that enables us to experience the culture of our neighbours. As we gather in Treaty 4 Territory and Home of the Métis, it is wonderful that this year there are both First Nations and Métis pavilions.

It is my pleasure to extend greetings on behalf of His Majesty King Charles III, King of Canada. Enjoy the festival!
